She recently put out a video of her performing Blood Red Sun.
The UK band, Bôa, has had a wonderful cult following across the internet for ages thanks in part to the Japanese anime Serial Experiments Lain. If you have not yet heard of them, you must check out their song Duvet.

Duvet is probably the tightest song Bôa ever put out. Not a slur on the rest of their work, but wow. Duvet is definitely their masterpiece. "And you don't seem the lying kind/a shame that I can read your mind." Pure gold.
Jasmine Rodgers, the lead vocalist, has been playing solo for years, culminating with an EP in 2010, and a full album in 2016 called Blood Red Sun. Collected here are live tracks of some tracks from BRS, as well as all of her EP. Originally this upload contained the 2010 EP along with these live versions, but the publisher CDBaby blocked it worldwide. I figured this is a good way, nonetheless, to showing off the songs on the EP, especially since CDBaby has now closed down their music store.
I must confess, I prefer the EP version of My Only Friend, and not because of the baby. The EP version has this melancholic air; the way it sort of ends without a solution, so to speak. The way the vocals pile up on each other with desire to fly away with this someone, but seemingly unable to.
I remember finding the Drawing Room and Regal Room sets as they were uploaded. I think it was my first exposure to Jasmine Rodgers as a solo artist. I totally fell for her deft play, her angelic voice, especially evident on Drinking. "You sing like an angel, your voice melts my heart" just oozes over my ears like sweet aural honey. Another favorite of mine here would be El Paisa. A hook for me was always the starting "and this is for him." A lover? A relative? What must it take to be able to make a woman like that sing about you so serenely. I even prefer this performance to the EP version. The Regal Room version is dedicated to her friends, to the people she loves, perhaps the fans if I'm reading the Colombia and Venezuela line right, and it's much more upbeat, brighter even. A nice contrast, really fun to put on, truly. The Tempest and I, Lucifer are really tight, and remind a great deal of Duvet in that regard. Probably my favorite tracks from the Regal Room set. Night Song was written no doubt as a response to the Bôa song Daylight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBrc1...
I enjoy the dual vocals on the studio track a lot, both Daylight and Night Song. I haven't heard Daylight in quite a while, will have to give that a serious listen later and really dive into its content, and Night Song's to find some insight. Follow You I remember being my favorite many years ago. Completely mesmerizing it was for me, especially the bit at 31: 35. It's interesting to know this bit's lyrics are omitted from the studio version.
I am not familiar with Armitage, but I have always enjoyed Jasmine Rodgers' performance on Baby Yoko a great deal. Easily one of my favorite songs sung by her, maybe even my favorite for the vocalizations at 43: 03. They do me in every single time I hear them, along with the closing ones from 43: 41 to the end. Just divine. As far as I'm aware, it's available nowhere on the internet except youtube, so I wanted to nab it and share it in case something happened to its original upload.
